Valentine worm mirror

This suncatcher is an original design by me, and was completely hand cut and assembled by me using traditional methods from start to finish in the UK.

It measures approximately 9 inches x 8 inches. 

The glass is cut from sheets of stained glass, the edges ground down and foiled individually as per the Tiffany method. the pieces are soldered together with 40/60 lead solder and wire is added to create the segments of the worm. The mirror has also been treated to prevent mirror rot. This piece was finished with a black patina to make the solder lines black. 

The price reflects the time it took me to make this piece and the materials used.

As this is a completely handmade product, please expect variations and imperfections in the design. The price reflects this. 

The mirror may come with white flecks of wax on it, but please don't worry! This is just due to a protective coat of wax I apply to keep the solder looking shiny. You can buff this up to shiny again and get rid of the white flecks by gently buffing with a soft cloth or toothbrush.
